Greater Together Manchester has created a list of organisations that work with refugees and asylum seekers. Please find their information below – grouped by Local Authority.

We hope that the information contained on this page will be useful in helping to signpost refugees and asylum seekers to relevant services.

The Boaz Trust

The Boaz Trust is a Christian organisation serving destitute asylum seekers in Greater Manchester.

They provide accommodation, as well as food and other essentials, to those who are unable to access support from anywhere else.

They also provide advocacy and pastoral support, and campaign on a local and national level for justice in asylum legislation.

Refugee Support, Manchester (British Red Cross) 

We help refugees and asylum seekers access essential services and adapt to life in a new country.

Revive UK 

Revive accompanies and supports refugees and people seeking asylum on a long term basis living in, Manchester, Salford and adjacent areas.

ASHA – Asylum Support Housing Advice 

ASHA provide support, advocacy and advice for asylum seekers whose applications have been refused and fully determined, and whose status renders them homeless and destitute.

Rainbow Haven

Rainbow Haven aims to provide a welcoming and supportive drop-in where new arrivals can get their immediate and longer term needs met.

Cheetham Hill Advice Centre

Our main aim is to provide confidential help, advice, information and support to local residents in the Manchester areas found within the political boundaries of Cheetham and Crumpsall.

The Roby Community Centre

The Roby supports people who are experiencing mental health issues and social exclusion

Barnabus: The Beacon Drop-In Centre

The Beacon Drop-in Centre is situated in the heart of Manchester city centre. It provides a sanctuary, a place of peace and refuge. It is open 5 days and 5 evenings.



Provide English & Maths Classes, Immigration Advice, Social Work Placements, Health Checks, Projects and Conversation Cafe.

Destitution Project Bolton

Drop in and destitution project every Wednesday between 10am – 3pm. Support for Asylum Seekers, Refugees, destitute Asylum Seekers and their families.


The Wellspring

The Wellspring provides services to homeless and disadvantaged people 365 days a year. We aim to support people out of homelessness and to become independent of services.


The Eagles Wing 

“The Eagles Wing” is a group of friends and volunteers who offer help, companionship and a welcome to local refugees and asylum seekers while they battle their way through legal processes.


Rainbow Haven

Rainbow Haven aims to provide a welcoming and supportive drop-in where new arrivals can get their immediate and longer term needs met.


Leigh Asylum Seekers and Refugees Support (LASARS)

At the weekly “Drop-in” we have a place where  asylum seekers and refugees can meet others from their own country. LASARS provide support and the chance to socialise and share experiences in a welcoming, safe and friendly atmosphere.
