A Food Providers map was launched in January 2017 by Greater Manchester Poverty Action (GMPA). The maps shows that there are 220 food providers in total (as at March 18th, 2020). Of those 133 are food banks, 49 are pantries or food clubs and 38 are meal providers. In January 2017 there were 136 food providers in total, with the number now at 220 that is an increase of over 60%. Please ensure you check the opening times and any restrictions on access before going to any of the services providers. If you are aware of a food provider that is not listed, please click here to contact Chris at GMPA. Similarly, please let her know if you come across an inactive service.

Because of the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic the support being provided by food providers is changing on a daily basis. Some providers are having to make changes to the services they provide at short notice. It won’t be possible for us to keep this information up-to-date, and we would encourage you to contact food providers direct to find out more about the services they are currently offering.
