Updated Tuesday 17th March 2020
Following the latest advice from the government in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic (Coronavirus) Greater Together Manchester has made the decision to close our office until further notice.
Our office staff will be working remotely and from home as much as possible. We will continue to offer support and advice to projects, as well as looking at how we can help ensure that vulnerable people are looked after during unprecedented time.
Our night shelters will continue to run for as long as is safe to do so. We are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff. We are working with partner agencies and Manchester City Council to monitor the situation for people experiencing homelessness, and will update this page as and when anything changes.
Some Places of Welcome have chosen to continue meeting, however it is likely that many will close temporarily in the coming days and weeks. You can find more information here. We would advise you to contact the relevant Place of Welcome directly for the latest information.
In the meantime, we would encourage you to continue to support your local social action projects, including donating to Food Banks, and to check on elderly or vulnerable neighbours regularly.
If you have any questions please click here to email us and a member of the GTM Team will get back to you as soon as possible.
Many thanks for your understanding and support.
